Osnovan 1985. godine, u samim počecima gothic rock scene, Pink Turns Blue danas čine Mic Jogwer (vokal, gitara), Paul Richter (bubnjevi) i Luca Sammuri (bas). Ime su preuzeli po pesmi benda Hüsker Dü, a već svojim debi albumom If Two Worlds Kiss (1987) postavili su temelje koji će ostaviti snažan trag na post-punk sceni i doprineti razvoju darkwave zvuka.
Prepoznatljivi po svom jedinstvenom spoju post-punka, alternativnog roka i new wave estetike, Pink Turns Blue su tokom karijere objavili dvanaest studijskih albuma, razvijajući se iz mračne i neizvesne atmosfere podeljene Nemačke tokom Hladnog rata u jedan od ključnih bendova evropske dark scene.
Nakon izuzetno hvaljenog albuma Tainted (2021), pratećeg izdanja Tainted Tour 2022 EP i uspešnih turneja po Evropi i Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama, često obeleženih rasprodatim koncertima, bend nastavlja dalje sa novim studijskim izdanjem i turnejom Black Swan, u okviru koje ponovo osvaja klupske prostore.

Tokom karijere, Pink Turns Blue su ostvarili gotovo sve što jedan nezavisni bend može da poželi: priznanja za album godine (Byte FM), titulu najboljeg albuma 2021. godine (Post-Punk.com), singlove na vrhu nemačkih Alternative Charts i Indie Disco Top 40 lista, kao i sjajne kritike u svetskoj muzičkoj štampi. Njihovi koncerti, od Los Anđelesa do Jerevana, redovno su posećeni i često rasprodati.
